As Wedding Florists, we all love professional images for our portfolios don't we. But, is it worthwhile taking part in photoshoots to get them? Should you be charging for them? Have a listen to this episode and i'll break it all down for you.

Is it more important to have a curated perfect looking Instagram grid or be authentic with your followers? Grab a cup of tea, press play and have a listen to find out what I think.

There are times in every Wedding Florist's life and career when something gets in the way and that well of content starts to dry up. I want to share my experience from my own Cancer diagnosis and how i've been able to keep a good presence on social media so that I continue to build my following and get wedding enquiries.

It's a relatively short one today, in a nice, polite, manageable 8 minute length! I address why I think I see a lot of Florists regularly asking for answers on Facebook groups and why you shouldn't do it (at least not often anyway)

Today I want to talk about a word beginning with C that I hear a lot - Cheap! And all the words our wedding clients use instead of that, when what they mean is just that they want to save money on their wedding flowers. Join me as I talk about what they say and what as Wedding Florists can do about it.

If you're working your day job whilst building up your Wedding Florist business and are desperately trying to make that leap into Floristry full time, then this podcast is for you.I can relate, i've been there and left my 'safe' job at the bank and leapt into running my own Floristry business. So listen while I share my experience and give you tips so you can finally be the wedding florist you want to be!

If you've ever have a nightmare client or regretted taking on a wedding booking, then definitely listen to this! As wedding Florists we'll all encounter these clients at some point in our careers and it leaves us feeling drained and frustrate

If you've ever found yourself worrying that you're going to lose a booking because you think you may be charging a bit much for that bridal bouquet, or charging less than you should because you don't think people in your area would pay anything more than that for their wedding, then this is the podcast for you.
Maybe you're a Florist who is often undercut by cheaper florists or think that charging less is actually damaging to the wedding floristry industry, then you'll also find this an interesting topic!

It's so important to set boundaries as a business owner and as Wedding Florists, we feel a pressure to try and accomodate couples when it comes to having an initial consultation. Should we hold consultations at times that aren't convenient to us but may get us a booking because it's convenient for the client? Have a listen to today's episode and find out!

A short one today as I just want to remind you that it's ok to not be obsessed with your social media performance and to give yourself a break! Social media is something to help your wedding florist business, not something to stress about.

Have you had a number of enquiring clients lately, telling you your wedding flowers too expensive after you've gone to all the trouble of sending them a quote, or having trouble getting people to book? A few of my followers have mentioned this has been happening to them, so I wanted to address this in a podcast. Join me as I tell you my experience of things and why you shouldn't feel bad when someone tells you you're too expensive.

As Florists we have so much else going on in our lives, that Social Media often gets put to the back of the queue. Then comes the guilt and stress because you haven't kept up with your socials or you don't have any ideas for posts. Join me as I chat to Social Media Manager and Content Mentor, Lucy Johnstone Social, about the overwhelm and 3 key areas that you can concentrate on when it comes to your Instagram and Facebook, so that you see results and don't feel like you need to be doing it all!

Join me as a chat to Viv Bradford, fellow Florist & Coach, about the changes that have occurred in the industry over her career, how she got her head around social media and how important it is to your wedding florist business.

One of my Facebook group members asked an excellent question the other day - Have you ever turned away work because it didn't fit your style?
This is interesting! Because what we put out there online is what we attract more enquiries for and we have a brand to protect too! Join me as I chat about the answers to this question and what us Wedding Florists can do in this situation.

There are lots of online tools/software out there to help Florists create proposals and quotes, but why should you use them? How can they benefit you? Just how much work should we as Florists put into booking a client in the beginning stages? Should we be compensated for that time? Join me as I chat to Tasha Flowers, a US Events Florist and Floral educator, and discuss these questions, as well as how we can use our online presence to prequalify clients, minimise our workload, and ensure we're dealing with as many ideal clients as possible.Tasha and I approach this from different angles, but ultimately have the same goal. One of the things that people tell me holds them back from social media or websites, is the tech. They tell me that they're not techy and this makes posting on social media more of a huge task than it may be for others who perhaps are more familiar with using phones/Instagram/Facebook. So even if they do manage to capture the photos and videos etc for their content, it takes to long to figure out how to post it or make it into a reel etc, so they just get confused or frustrated, then give up and just go back to the job that they know best, Flowers.
So, how do we get over that? How do we overcome that hurdle? Where we know we need to post on social media, but the tech confuses us and it doesn't come naturally to us and it keeps us behind in business. (and it really does keep us behind in business if you aren't updating your online presence. It either manifests itself as attracting lots of the wrong clients, more work for yourself, or not attracting many clients at all. None of those are good for business or you.
In this podcast I show you that you're not on your own and what you can actually do about it.

You know that feeling?
The one where you spend loads of time creating a post, thinking it's going to be AMAZING and everyone will like it. Heck it's so good, you may even go viral!
Then when you do post.....it's crickets. Nobody like or comments. Hardly anyone appreciates the amount of work you put into that reel/story/post and you're left feeling totally deflated?
What makes it worse, is that someone posted  a picture of their lunch the other day and everyone went crazy for it.
There just seems to be no rhyme or reason for it sometimes and it's infuriating!
I wish there was some secret sauce that I could give you to tell you exactly what steps to take to get that desired reaction from your followers, but sadly there is no such thing. If there was, then everybody would be popular wouldn't they?
Join me as I talk about why that's not important and why you shouldn't take it personally.

If you never know what to say on social media posts, then this is for you. You procrastinate and prevaricate and end up posting nothing at all or very little. In this week's podcast, I talk about this 'staring at a blank page' feeling and give you a framework to help you know what to post.

You feel like nobody is seeing your posts and don't know how to fix that. Join me on this episode as I talk about the reasons why your followers (aka potential bookings) may not be seeing your posts and what you can do to change that! You make beautiful wedding flowers, so lets make sure the world sees them!

People are always telling you stuff like 'you need to post more on social media' & 'you can't have a business without social media' etc blah blah (That's me. People is me). But you just don't see the point in it so you have no inclination to post anything whatsoever. It's a chore. A grind. Is this because you tried it for like 5 minutes before and it didnt work? I get it. You want to see followers growing, more sales/bookings, physical money in your bank! But you tried it and didn't get those things straight away. I want to help flip that mindset. Social Media DOES work. The algorithms aren't against you. You just need to change what you're doing. Join me in this podcast as I talk about 3 reasons why you should be using social media in your wedding Florist business.
